i do find it funny that a raid that hinges so much on story and lore is being done mostly by players who dont care about the story and skip it to get to the end as soon as possible

how are you liking sage in DT? I ran MSQ with it and it was pretty comfy all the way through. Most of the new tools don't seem like huge gamechangers to me but they're a lot of fun to use.

I was about to ask how you saw enrage and you just explained it lol. Ye the dps check is more than lenient it was almost impossible to see cause you either wipe from not having enough mits/heals from the raid wide or you win.

With DT being out now I have to say a few things myself: 1: With AST, pretty much what you’re asking for (And I want it too) is a return to HW/SB Cards. Damage reduction, crit chance, speed, damage, MP Regen… I miss all that. 2: going back to the days of AoE DoTs on healers is great. Aero 2 and Miasma 2 were the most tragic losses to healers. 3: For Samurai, I’m not a fan of the Tsubame change either. It ‘Feels’ like I’m doing less damage honestly thanks to it. I’ve only just started the levelling from 90-100 for it but I immediately felt the loss. Kaiten though can stay gone.

Dragoon is now just missing a group defensive. Outside of that, us goon heads didnt get popped to hard this xp

Ring of thorns was truly one of the coolest dragoon skills I wish they would bring back the animation. On current notes - they need to get rid of the new DRK dash and bring back Plunge. It can do no damage just like shadowstride but the animation was so much cooler and it felt way more "weighty".

Pepsis - while its funny to say and has its occational use, it otherwise feels like a ultimately dead button in an otherwise relatively tight kit.

WHM used to have stone skin, which is pretty OP, some of the old enemy mobs still have that skill but players doesn’t anymore.

AST will forever be boring until the give us back the ability to Royal Road again. Hot take here but I genuinely don’t like the fact Ast pulls 3 cards now. I think the rng aspect of the cards fits best thematically and shows how well you’ve mastered the class by knowing what cards should be used at the right time. Stormblood AST was nearly perfect but they threw all of that out of the window.

Late answer, but...Shadow/Whorl of Death. Death's Design could've been part of the weaponskill combos like with Viper, but noooooo, let's still keep it exclusively on the most pointless buttons ever...

IMO they should have reworked summoners basic abilities to summon parts of primals, like summon ifrit's hand for a fire smash attack etc... then in burst phases summon bahamut phoenix etc..

I didn't think much about it when I heard about it during the media tour, but the tsubame-gaeshi change on samurai ended up being really awkward for me. It keeps throwing my rhythm off, because I'm just used to the double iaijutsu, and now I feel like I'm getting lag spikes or imput issues. It's suddenly become the thing I'm most actively considering in the rotation, which feels terrible imo. It's basically like the kaiten change; at the end of the day, it's not REALLY changing much. But it's absolutely disrupted the flow of job for me, and I don't know if I want to deal with another reductive "QoL" change that will apparently help people new to the job. Especially when some of the other changes look pretty fun.

I am not praising the devs for implementing player created mods that were overdue to bring QoL to the game. It's nice that non mod user can now also experience it but first, I question the scale and customisation of the official implementation and seconds, most people that used the mod before, will use it after, unless the official one is vastly superior, which is most cases is not what we get. Now if they preemptively reacted to player feedback and it didnt take 4 years for them to do anything, then I would have a different reaction.
